The Man in the Clouds (A story with Aliens and a Man) Biscuit Tale

As he journeyed he traveled up and up

he moved up and up into the Heavens

but he did not get as far as he hoped

his ship fell

it crashed

but he lived

the planet was breathable

he met a friendly creature and the creature stood on two legs just as he

the creature took him in and became his friend

he met friends of the creature and the friends were kind as well

BUT the creature and his friends warned him to not go across the line

“The other side is not safe.”

they said.  he was warned to not go out and meet the others who lived across the line

the others were monsters who spewed venom

but the man was not always wise and of course wanted to see for himself … …

The Story Continues (The Forever solider)

I stood on the grassy bank looking out upon the city.  Cairo.  The capital of Egypt.

There I stood.  I looked upon the city.  It was well-fortified.   I wondered if the leader had a plan up his sleeve.

“Hello.” Said a fellow soldier.

“Hello Russ.” I said to him.

He walked up and stood next to me as we looked upon the city.  Russ was a good man.  He was a skilled archer.

“Looks like we will be attacking Cairo today.”  Said Russ.

“Is that so?”  I asked.

“That’s what people think that Leader will order.”  Russ said.

More men arrived.  There were some men on horseback.  There were some men with spears and there were a few men with only axes.

I thought to myself, “We have many men but not enough to win this fight.”

The Forever Soldier Continued Again

April 18th

“Have you always been a civilian?”   Asked the solider.

“As long as I can remember.”

“And How long is that?”

“I’m not quite sure.  But I know I have always lived in this city.”

“So why do you question me about my past If you don’t even know your own?”

“I just want to understand.”

“Understand what?”

“How is it possible?  How could you live so long and see so much but not age at all?”

“Maybe it is God.”

“You think it is God?”

“It must be.  How else could I be an immortal?”

“I don’t know.  I don’t know.  But why do you always follow the orders?”

“I’m a soldier.  That is what I do.”

“Been when you get an order from Leader … you never think about not obeying the order?”

“I never do.  What is there to think about?”

Noodle Tale (March 9)

“Who will offer the sacrifice?”

A man stepped forward.  “I will.”  He lifted his arms and offered his baby.

“Your heir.  A bold choice.” The leader intoned.

“I do it for the good of our people.” Said the Father.

“You are wise beyond your years man-who-offers-sacrifice.”

The father continued to hold the baby offered to the leader.

The leader looked to his people.

“It has been many moons since our last sacrifice.  Our Noodle Master has been upset.  As we have seen, he used his Noodle powers to drown Alexandra in the lake.  He also used his Noodle powers to drive elder Joe insane.  Why else would elder Joe go into that forest and confront the great black bear?  With this sacrifice, we shall appease the bloodlust of our Noodle Master.  This blood sacrifice will keep us safe for the next Moons to come.  NOODLE MASTER!  ACCEPT THIS OFFERING!”

The leader reached and grabbed the baby.  He grabbed the baby by the head and slammed the small creature into the stone floor with his full might.  The baby was dead upon contact.

A single tear flowed the father’s face.

The leader looked at the brave father.  “Your sacrifice is not in vain.  The Holy Noodle is a fair God indeed.”

Rob vs Bob

“Do you know why you are here?”

“To be an agent.”

“Yes.  That is obvious.  This is an agency.”

“Well, right.”

“But do you know why you are here at this agency?”

“You wanted the best and the brightest.”

“So here you are?”

“So here I am.”

“Do you consider yourself to be good with time?”

“I think I manage it well.”

“Have you ever lost it?”

“Come again?”

“Robert, Have you ever lost time?”

“Do you mean lost track of it?”

“I do not.”

“Well, you can not lose it.”

“I beg to differ Robert.  I beg to differ.”

“I am confused.”

“Well Robert, are you ready to become an agent?”

“I don’t know my assignments.”

“You only have one assignment.”

“Only one?”

“Yes.  We need you to track down one of our agents who has gone rogue.”

“Gone Rogue?”

“Yes.  He turned against the agency and against humanity.”

“So, he is a rogue agent that I need to stop?”

“Yes.  His name is Bob.”

The Boy and the Beast

This film was excellent.  It is similar to the films of Miyazaki.  This comes from the creator of Digimon so the animation will be similar.

This movie is good for kids and adults.  The movie is NOT cliche.  It has maybe a twist … maybe a turn or two.  I enjoyed it for the master and apprentice aspect in some ways similar to The Karate Kid.

This film is entertaining and has a lot of heart.  On my 10 point scale I give it an 8 out of 10.

Warning:  It does have violence and some blood (but not much).

#GirlBoss (NastyGal) Review

I enjoyed reading this book.  It was interesting and the book sucks you in.

The story is about the Rise of Sophia Amoruso.  She is the Founder of NastyGal.

Her book is quite interesting.  She discusses growing up and being somewhat of an outcast and a rebel.   She really had a hard time in school.   Is it because she is a genius?   Probably not.   She seemed to be just more of an undisciplined kid.   However, she did face some various hardships and she had lots of encounters with authority/teachers.

One nice thing is that she really appreciated her time with one of her high school history teachers.  He was kind of a hippie and she really enjoyed talking to him and riffing about life.

She had various jobs like Subway worker (Sandwich artist).   And at one point she was a hitchhiker.

I don’t want to give away the whole story of the book.   Her story is interesting and kind of inspiring.

As one of her employees at NastyGal said “Sophia is the original BadAss Bitch.”  (I think I quoted that correctly)

If you enjoy reading about entrepreneurship and a little about fashion and just reading about interesting people then this book is an “easy read” and entertaining.
